CONGRATULATIONS! 103 elementary music students scored 70% or higher on the Intermediate Measures of Music Aptitude tests. These tests were given in all first through fourth grade general music classes.

All elementary students should be encouraged to pursue some musical activities throughout the summer. One idea for musical pursuits is the BOSS program by the Decatur Park District. Children work towards a theatre production with singing, dancing, and acting. Call 422-5911 for more information. Another idea is the Millikin University’s summer music camps. Just call 425-4698 for more information. Another FREE possibility is First Baptist Church. They are having a week of music, special guests, dance, crafts, and related arts for K-6 students.
