Seniors: Please check the school website for the latest updates on available scholarships. There is a $500 scholarship available from the Illinois Sheriff's Association. An essay is required. See Mrs. Young for more info.
Do you like to work with animals? Are you willing to volunteer? A representative from Homeward Bound Pet Shelter is coming to the library Tuesday during FLEX to speak out volunteer opportunities working with dogs and cats. Everyone is welcome to come and get information!
Sophomores and juniors: Please turn in your course selection sheets to Mrs. Young by Friday!
National Honor Society members: Please make sure you're getting pledges for the Easter Seals Bowl-a-thon THIS Sunday! We will be bowling at 1 p.m. at Spare Time Lanes. You can get pledges per pin or for set amount. See Mrs. Young if you have questions.
Macon Resources needs AO students to volunteer for their event, KIDS ROCK on Saturday, March 20th from 9-12 at Heartland Community Church Grand Palace in Decatur. People are needed to take admission, sign people up for door prizes, assist presenters, and help clean up. See Mrs. Young if you'd like to volunteer.
Anyone interested in Bass Fishing will have a meeting Tuesday February 9th at 12:45 in Kimler Gym. Please see Mr. Sheehan if you have any questions.
How could this “cut in funding” affect you as a library user? · Interlibrary loan service could be limited or eliminated. · Purchasing new books could be reduced. · Library programs and activities could be reduced/eliminated.

This year's Musical will be held on April 20, 21 & 22 and is called "The Ever After". Great parts and characters. If you are interested in knowing more, please stop and see Mrs. DeSutter. Information sheets with synopsis of the show and a list of characters is available. Auditions will be held February 22 and 23 in the Music Room starting at 7:00 p.m. Hope to see you there.
Valentine candy grams (chocolate) will be on sale today - February 12th. They will be on sale for $1 from Mrs. Stewart or during flex and will be delivered every day during flex!
The Student Council will be hosting a Winter Spirit Week February 8th – February 12th. The dress up days and rules are as follows:
Tuesday, February 9: Wacky Tacky Day – Let’s see just how mismatched you can be!
Wednesday, February 10: Formal Day – Dress up in your formal wear. That means dresses, suits, ties and tuxedos. All dresses must be school appropriate; all shoulders must be covered.
Thursday, February 11: Dynamic Duo Day – Find a partner (or a group!)and dress like a famous duo (like a hero and sidekick or hero and villain).
Friday, February 12: Orange and Blue Day – Let’s paint the halls orange and blue and show our support for our winter sport athletes and our school pride!
Please remember that all dress must be school appropriate. Masks, hats and sunglasses may be worn, but will be removed during class if they are a distraction.
