NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of Education of Argenta-Oreana Community Unit District #1 in the counties of Macon and DeWitt, State of Illinois, that a Public Hearing will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the Middle/High School Library located in the Argenta-Oreana High School at 500 N. Main St., Argenta, IL 62501.
The purpose of said hearing will be to receive public comment on a School Code Mandate waiver application that will allow the district to hold three full-day School Improvement sessions, rather than six half-day sessions.
